DESCRIPTION:
EPW - Unsigned Continental, verge fusee, 55mm, silver OF original case, white enamel dial with oval timekeeping display at center surrounded by multicolor scene, winding aperture at 2, KWKS, verge escapement, gilt mvt with pierced and foliate scrolled two-footed balance bridge, s#2013 within case. Comes as pictured with an attractive 14 inch white metal chain. The unusual imagery depicted on the dial of this watch is interesting and we believe may represent a mourning scene.
CONDITION:
Mvt: Running, nearly mint cosmetic mvt condition overall, excellent gilt tone, few fine to micro-fine scratches, mild haze spot near edge of plate outside regulator disk; virtually flawless dial with few infinitesimal nicks to rim of center hole; excellent hands; case shows very little wear, bezel with a fine fracture at lower-right, scattered fine scratches and mild dings; tight bow; good glass crystal. Chain in excellent condition showing very little wear.
